Fenton High School was closed Friday in response to threats against the Bensenville school and a Fenton official.

Nobody was injured, Fenton High School District 100 said on its website and in messages to parents.

All extracurricular activities also were canceled.

Police, including a bomb squad, searched the building.

Fenton has been dealing with controversy over how officials handled allegations of sexual misconduct by a staff member. Large crowds protested this week during two school board meetings.
